For Declinations from 0°to 23°between the Parallels of
Latitude 30°and 60°inclusive, from Horizon to Meridian
These Tables contain the Azimuth, of true bearing, of a heavenly body for all latitudes from 30°to 60°, and for all declinations from 0°to 23°, whether of the Same Name, as both North or both South, or of Contrary Names, when one is North and the other South. Both for Same Name and Contrary Name the bearings are given for each degree of Local Hour Angle in all cases.
Whether for finding compass error, or for use in laying off lines of position, the value of Azimuth required is a reasonable approximation, so that the computer can generally interpolate mentally for any small variation in the data from exact degrees of latitude, etc., employed in the tabulated Arguments.
