EQUIPMENT GUIDE
This SPM Hose Ancillary Equipment Guide has been prepared by the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF). The purpose of this Guide is to provide common descriptive teminology for the industry and to provide technical guidelines for the designers and operators of SPM systems to ensure more reliable performance of the SPM facility.
These guidelines are restricted to the two most common types of SPM. These are the CALM (Catenary Anchor Leg Mooring) and the SALM (Single Anchor Leg Mooring) which are the principal types of SPM used as tanker terminals. Many of the guidelines in this manual, however, can selectively be applied to other types of SPMs, such as the specialised production SPM facilities installed for the use of dedicated tankers.
The Guide has been divided into two parts:
Part A - General Information including SPM Descriptions and,
Part B - Ancillary Equipment.
