This publication contains the various sources of information required to assess the condition of ballast and cargo tank structures that are in service. It primarily addresses conventional single hull tankers. The manual is based on the experiences and practices used by members of the Tanker Structure Co-operative Forum, which is made up of owners, operators and classification societies.
The ‘Condition Evaluation and Maintenance of Tanker Structures’ published 1992 and the ‘Guidance Manual for the Inspection and Condition Assessment of Tanker Structures’ published 1986 were incorporated in to the ‘Guidance Manual for Tanker Structures - 2014 Consolidated Edition'
